You and "I" and Then Some

No doubt you are now an expert at "I" statements, based on my last video.  Now take it to the next level with this corollary from your local Orthodox couples counselor (me).

  1. I FEEL frustrated that I can only see you by video. I NEED you to move back to Israel at the next available opportunity.

    1. Dear Marc,

That was an excellent attempt at using this technique. You slipped then "when you" in there in your original subordinate clause, but I think you could make it even more powerful by adding a "because," explaining what it is about the situation that makes you feel frustrated. Way to go! I'm sure your wife is reaping the benefits of your new communication skills.
